After completing his residency as Instructor and Chief Resident in Pathology at the UPMC Medical
Center, Dr. Bedetti was appointed Staff Pathologist at Presbyterian University Hospital and later
Director of the hospital’s Renal Pathology and Electron Microscopy Laboratory. Board Certified in
Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, the Doctor has been the Director of Laboratories and acting
Chairman of the Department of Pathology at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital Forbes Regional
Campus since the early 1990s.
Since the beginning of his career, Dr. Bedetti has held several academic appointments at the University
of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire and the University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a clinical associate professor of pathology at UPMC. On top of
acting as Laboratory Director for Med Health Services, Dr. Bedetti actively serves on several medical
committees at Forbes Regional Hospital.
